William Fenn Hopkins was an imaginative illustrator and painter, who was driven by an incredible passion and love for the natural landscape.  His works are often noted for their unique style, elegance, and technique. Bill developed an innovative style of precise realism that was reminiscent of the Hudson River painters. His works have been featured in collections and showings across the nation. Bill's illustrations have also appeared in numerous publications and books. On January 12, 2008 Bill Hopkins lost his courageous battle against a very rare, painful and deadly cancer related to asbestos exposure. He was an extraordinary artist, a devoted husband and father, and a good friend loved by many. He left us a tremendous legacy in his art. It is our pleasure to continue to share his works.

Bill's attention to detail included the printing and signing of limited edition prints of his original oils and watercolors prior to his death. Through this website and our studio we will periodically release a limited number of these rare prints. Additionally, a percentage of all sales of Bill's prints will be contributed to the William Fenn Hopkins Memorial Arts Fund, administered by the Community Foundation of Elmira-Corning & the Finger Lakes Region of New York. The mission of Bill's fund is to provide monetary help to artists facing life threatening illnesses, and to assist small community based arts organizations including not only the visual arts, but the performing arts as well. The fund in the short time since Bill's death has provided assistance to a number of noteworthy organizations and dramatic productions.
